Snaps India holds photo expo on FIFA World Cup

A daylong photo exhibition on the FIFA World Cup 2022, Doha, Qatar was held in the city recently. On exhibit were 100 select shots of the football match that were captured by Snaps India CEO Mohd Shamsuddin. He was the only FIFA accredited photojournalist from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh at the sports event.
The exhibition was curated by internationally-acclaimed photo journalist and a recipient of the coveted Royal Photographic Society award, T Srinivas Reddy, who is based in Vijayawada.
After inaugurating the event, Telangana State Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali said, “Shamsuddin has done well by going beyond photography and emerging as a sports promoter by launching Academia Sports Village. He is the son of, late M A Rahim, a pioneer in photojournalism in the undivided Andhra Pradesh. His sons, who are into photography serving the media for decades, are upholding the values and integrity that Rahim Saab stood for, all through his remarkable career.”
Snaps India and Academia Sports Village drew applaud from all the dignitaries present on the occasion for their contributions towards elevating photography and sports. British Deputy High Commissioner Gareth Wynn Owen; Honorary Consul of Bulgaria Lion Dr Y Kiron; Director, State Gallery of Art Dr K Lakshmi, and P V Prabhakar Rao, son of former Prime Minister P V Narasimha Rao were present.
